My approach to igniting growth

One defining moment captures my belief in fostering potential. During a communication course, a student was gripped by public speaking anxiety. On their first speech, fear dominated. Instead of focusing on flaws, I celebrated their immense courage. We progressed, step by tiny step, celebrating every ounce of progress. I ensured our classroom was a safe space for risk. By the final speech, that student stood tall, made eye contact, and spoke with newfound clarity. Their words resonated: “I didn’t think I could ever do that…but you helped me see that I could.” This reflects my core: I see potential before performance, creating environments where belief in self can truly blossom.
